Issue 4 Editorial

We are living in such extraordinarily interesting and challenging times!
It seems that no lies can be hidden for long, and if people want to find out the truth about any topic they care to choose, it is really not very difficult any more.

We have been receiving amazing information from around the planet and there seems to be a common thread running through it: it is time to join up the dots of the left-brain logical with the right-brain intuitive; the physical with the metaphysical; or spirit with matter. Whichever angle you want to view it from, it is the same. It is time for impeccability and balance on every level, as Ghandi said “You cannot do good in one area of life and not in another.”

We have focused on the “left-brained” (il)logical money system this issue. It is patently obvious that the system, which is motivated by fear, lack and greed, lacks the right-brained, feminine, nurturing element that would allow for compassion and love to balance it. It’s like building a house: if a part of the foundation is missing, sooner or later it will start to crumble.

The lies and deceit cannot hold up the house for much longer, surely? A typical example is the absurd taxation system that perpetuates the lies and deceit. We all do our best to get out of paying taxes – lying and cheating where possible. The excellent ideas put forward by Margaret Legum on an alternative taxation system should be implemented immediately. The money saved by doing away with policing people into giving away their hard earned cash would soon pay for its implementation. Another area of imbalance is the gross over expenditure on defence.

The South African defence budget for 2004/2005 is 20.3 billion rand! Imagine how many people could be housed and fed with all that money. Worldwide industries/individuals profit more than we could ever imagine from stirring up the patriotic, fear-based sentiment “protect your country” which is based on a belief of separatism, which is totally unnecessary.

No wonder John Lennon was so conveniently murdered; they couldn’t have the masses beginning to think like this…

“Imagine there’s no countries,
It isn’t hard to do?
Nothing to kill or die for,
And no religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace…
You may say I’m a dreamer,
but I’m not the only one,
I hope some day you will join us,
And the world will be as one…”

It is time to become active. Get off that fence or take your head out of the ground and DO something (turn to page 63 where, on the “Connect Up – Get Active!” page, we have provided some links that may help).

Firstly, it may be a good idea to look at the fear-based system that runs virtually every aspect of your life, from your children’s schooling to your local bank. Once you recognise it and educate yourself, you have the power to change it. Fear is the most disempowering emotion of all. There is a simple rule to live by that could change the world so quickly and we all know it… “do to others as you would have them do to you”… IMAGINE!
